Hi, my name is Marlyn—nice to meet you! I am an attentive and compassionate Associate Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to creating a warm, empathic, and safe therapeutic space. My goal is to offer genuine care and nonjudgmental support so you can explore your experiences freely. I hold space for you exactly as you are, and together we build a therapeutic relationship where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and insight-oriented. I offer honest, direct, and gentle feedback that supports deeper self-understanding and meaningful personal growth. We will work together to develop effective coping skills that foster resilience and lasting change.
My clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and attachment-based perspectives, and I tailor my work to your unique needs. I also incorporate relational therapy and inner child work to help you explore the patterns, experiences, and identities that shape how you move through the world.
I received my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Hunter College. I previously worked at a private practice in New York City supporting women of color and LGBTQIA+ clients. As a Latina, I believe that identity and intersectionality are essential aspects of the therapeutic process, and I bring both my education and clinical experience to help you explore and honor your unique identities.
