As a therapist, I know how daunting it is to seek help for the first time. We all experience unique challenges that make up our human experience. My mission as your therapist is to help identify your unique needs and create a therapeutic space that is focused on your individual healing.
As a neurodiverse individual myself, I specialize in fostering neurodiversity affirming spaces and incorporating knowledge and expertise surrounding unique challenges that neurodiverse individuals experience (i.e. Demand avoidance, executive function difficulties, navigating sensory needs, social challenges, etc.).
I’m committed to helping you transition from viewing your neurodiversity through a pathologized lens to learning to accommodate your needs and thrive. Additionally, I provide specialized parenting support sessions to support parents of neurodivergent individuals who could use some extra support navigating that journey.
I am also strongly committed to creating a safe space for clients who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and recognize the importance of practicing therapy through the lens of intersectionality. I gravitate toward using modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma focused therapy that integrates mindfulness and body awareness– even incorporating art and play into therapy (regardless of age)!
My view is that therapy is not ‘one size fits all’ and should always be tailored to your unique needs. I am also thrilled to share that I now provide (for adults 18+) Autism and ADHD assessments designed to support neurodiverse individuals in finding personal understanding and affirmation, building in accommodations that make life easier, and finding direction in their personal journey to healing.
I look forward to connecting with you soon!
